He worked for Southwestern Bell as a Service Technician for 39 years before retiring in 1995. He is survived by his mother, Charlotte Alderson, of Maud; son, Travis Sean Alderson, of Maud; daughter, Summer Artensia Alderson, of Shawnee; sister, Charlotte Ann Shelley, of Maud; and two grandchildren; He was preceded in death by his father, Leonard Joe Alderson, and his wife, Frankie Jo Alderson.
He loved the lake, especially his place at Texoma Lake. He enjoyed the times spent with his family, especially with his grandchildren. Pallbearers are Frankie Walker, Mark Copeland, Billy Freeman, Wichita Blaine, Larry Bear, Fussy Lowery, and Burt Talbear.
She participated in native Indian ceremonial dances and co-authored books on the Muskogean-Creek language.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father; two brothers, George Gibbs and Roman Tiger; and one sister, Julia Powell.
Survivors include two daughters, Bertha Tilkens, of Norman and Bonnie Gibson and her husband Jimmy, of Mounds; four sons, Thomas Jones and his wife Roseann, of Seminole, Paul Alexander and his wife Ann, of Tecumseh, Marvin Alexander, of Shawnee and David Alexander and his wife Melia, of Hartsville, Tenn.
She had 32 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
She was a wonderful loving mother, grandmother and friend, she will be missed dearly.
